Japanese inspired dining room by Déconome
This story began on Instagram when Stéphanie Guéritaud of Déconome asked her followers to help her find a Japanese inspired mural. She couldn't find what she wanted anywhere ! Our team heard her cry for help and proposed our Custom Mural service. Our graphic design studio created a motif inspired by fabric that Stéphanie’s client loves and voila ! DÉLIA was born.
Déconome: With time and patience, everything is possible
Stéphanie Guéritard’s life as a Decor Stylist began in 2010 when she became a homeowner for the first time. As a journalist for the magazine Je décore and IDÉES DÉCO, Stéphanie had the experience and the know how to share tricks and tips about interior design on a budget and, being curious by nature, to learn new things along the way. A blog was a perfect platform to reach her audience.
Over the last decade she has shared her finds, inspirations and her projects daily via her blog, and her Instagram that boasts more than 13 000 followers.
If Stéphanie has one piece of advice to give about redecorating on a budget it is to take your time. Compare prices and be patient. It is impossible to follow a decor budget and expect to have everything for tomorrow.
What are her suggestions to redecorate without going hungry ? Buy second hand. Second-hand stores, flea-markets and Marketplace are treasure chests ! She loves to paint things. According to her, there is nothing that cannot be painted as long as you have the appropriate paint for the job. Re-painting as a means to save money is a recurring theme in our<a href="https://decorimprime.com/en/blogs/infos/3-trucs-pour-decorer-sans-se-ruiner" target="_blank" title="Blog - 3 tips for renovating without breaking the bank" rel="noopener noreferrer" ''''=""> articles because it works !
The Delia Mural
Délia was conceived when Stéphanie’s neighbour decided to redecorate her dining room. Because her dining room and kitchen share an open concept space, she suggested a mural to provide a visual division of the two areas. Stéphanie’s neighbour immediately presented her with a piece of fabric with a Japanese feel as an inspiration for her custom mural.
Puisqu’un papier peint de ce style n’existait pas sur le marché, notre studio graphique a créé de toutes pièces le motif pour ensuite lui donner une belle couleur bleue, tel que souhaité par Stéphanie et sa voisine. Our graphic design studio was able to create a motif in blue based on the fabric and as per the request of Stéphanie.
The results: an intriguing geometric pattern that is at times bursting with energy and at other times soothing. This custom mural provided the client with the japanese inspired space she had been hoping for.
